pavement painting

The sun peeks it's head from behind the winter clouds and we are outside, enjoying the promise
of summer.  Chalk paint is an ideal activity.  It can be smeared, dripped, printed and stamped
on any paving surface, and then easily hosed off with water afterwards.

To make:
Mix 1 part water to 1 part cornflour.  Give a good stir till the mixture is liquid
and all pasty bits are dissolved.  Add a couple of drops of food colouring and mix.

Go outside and paint!  The colours may seem a little faded initially, but as it dries,
your picture will pop out.

This is a great neighbourhood activity, as we discovered when a couple
of kids passing by joined in and they all had oodles of fun!
